Simarine's high precision SC303 active digital shunt measures voltage, current, and temperature of the battery or battery bank. It can be used for monitoring current draw of heavy consumers (inverters, bow and stern thrusters, anchor winches) and current generators (shore power chargers and solar panels). Additionally, it allows monitoring tanks for fuel, fresh and gray water. - Innovative combination of shunt and tank level module. SC303 is an active combo shunt for PICO battery monitor with 2 voltages, 2 tank levels or temperature, 1 socket for temperature sensor with JST connector and 1 current sensor up to 300A for up to 75V systems. It can be used for monitoring current draw of heavy consumers (inverters, bow and stern thrusters, anchor winches) and current generators (shore power chargers and solar panels). Additionally, it allows monitoring tanks for fuel, fresh and gray water. SC303 is capable of measuring continuous current up to 300A and suitable for maximal power of 3600W at 12V or 7200W at 24V. The Simarine's SC303 package contains: - 1x SC303 digital shunt & 1x SiCOM cable (5 meters) & 1x Temperature sensor
All you need to know about your batteries The SC303 is innovative combination of high-amp shunt and tank level module. It primary purpose is to provide complete battery monitoring by showing you the complete state of a battery or battery bank’s charge, its current reading and voltage reading, as well as the temperature of the battery compartment.
Also for tank, inverter, solar etc. monitoring With additional inputs that are provided on the module itself, it can also serve the purpose of monitoring additional voltage or resistance sensors, such as tank-level sensors. The high-amp shunt can also be used for measuring the current draw of heavy consumers (inverters, bow and stern thrusters, anchor winches) and generators (shore power chargers and solar panels).
Inputs 2 voltage inputs up to 75.0 V, 2 resistance inputs (for tank level or temperature), 1 socket for a temperature sensor with a JST connector, 1 current sensor up to 300 A.
Convenient for wiring on retrofitting for existing boats, campervans, trailers, RVs.
What’s in the box Shunt SC303, 5 m data cable, 1 m temperature sensor, shunt cover, 3 m fuse protected voltmeter cable, screws, 3-year warranty.
I got the Pico Blue kit which had the 500-amp shunt, and got this extra 300-amp shunt to measure a 120-amp charger in my system. I like that you can daisy chain as many of these into the Pico as you need, and it's helpful that the built-in voltage and resistance-based inputs can be used to measure water tanks or temperature sensors, in addition to the shunt's main function. I found it easy to add to the Pico system as once you plug in the data cable, this shunt automatically shows up on the Pico screen, and you can click on it and start programming. A great module to measure your main battery bank or a large charger or load in your system.
