I ordered this to have a flat, foldable surface upon which to do my PT exercises. Bad knees, shoulders and hands prevent me from doing the exercises on the floor a hard surface gives best results): while getting to the floor is certainly do-able, it's the getting up that's nearly impossible and extremely painful! I'll be using this every day without any of the extensions. I did order a twin fitted sheet so that I'm lying on cotton rather than the Naugahyde black cover.Folded up, it stores behind a bedroom door.
