Super Bright Portable LED Lamp with USB Charging - Rechargeable Battery, Adjustable Brightness for Camping, Emergencies & Outdoor Activities

I quilt a lot and this light is perfect for hand work.Surprisingly bright. But make sure to note the dimensions in the description - it is VERY SMALL. It is not a "desk lamp" - not even a "night stand lamp". The base is about the size of a deck of cards. I use it for up-close engraving. It would also be suitable for reading, if you can position it close to your book. (It needs to sit on flat surface and is NOT at all stable on a bed). I would say this is ideal to illuminate a small, defined, specific area - NOT to give ambient light broadly to a room. For example, it would be great to illuminate a computer keyboard in a dark room. Note: it DOES NOT come with a PLUG. It comes with a USB cord only (not the prong plug that goes into the outlet). You can power it directly from your computer, supply your own plug, or add 4 AA batteries (not included). Also, it has no switch - you TAP THE BASE to turn it on, adjust level, or turn it off. For the price it is super bright - and folds super small which makes it great for travel.This was PERFECT for working on my Diamond painting to assist me with seeing the numbers, letters & symbols, A++++++Exactly what I was looking for however make sure your batteries are all new. I had quite the fright when I put them in, after a few minutes the bottom of the light, got extremely hot. Upon opening the cover, I found that one of the duracell batteries installed obviously was defected because the casing started coming off & probably would have burst into a fire, if I kept that light on. With that said, I was questioning if this whole unit was defective but I did install a new set of batteries, & since then, everything so far seems fine. There does seem to be a slight warmth ,not in the area of the battery cover, but towards the end of the light on the bottom but I think it is due to the lights. I just want all to be aware of this potential problem about batteries, otherwise, the light does have a brightness I was looking for. I personally use it on the highest power for my handiwork.I like this product so much, as well as my husband....I had topurchase another for him! Weuse this product to read by, it'svery compact, can carry anduse anywhere, battery operatedoption, and very effective!This works fairly well and provides a decent amount of light. Used this to replace the lights in the room and it provides a decent amount of light. While a traditional room light would be overall brighter, this provides enough brightness for someone who is nocturnal and provides good concentrated light if you want to read a book.Should be noted that this is fairly portable so you can take it around with you. Just be aware of any potential defects due to the return policy.Edit: So my bathroom light broke and I ended up using this to replace the light. Don't. The water will corrode this, unlike some lights.UPDATE as of 5/12/2019Changing my rating as some of the LED bulbs are burning out. This is disappointing, given that LED bulbs are supposed to last over a decade. I estimate that the lamp has light at about 20% of its brightness because of this.ORIGINAL REVIEWEvery once in a while, you find a product that is exactly what you are looking for - this light was that for me. It's not too big, it folds flat for easy portability, the 3 choices of brightness allow you to find the right level of illumination, and the USB connector lets me power it from the computer on my desk. I've been using it for a couple months, and ended up buying another one because the first one was so handy. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a portable lamp. The only caveat is to make sure you know what level of illumination you need. This is meant to be more of a personal lamp, so someone looking for the equivalent of a full size lamp should look elsewhere. This is bright, but not that bright.This is the second one I own. I like the 3-Light dimming option, rechargeable plug in adapter, it’s portable to use anyway, and packable.
