All around this is a good baby monitor, with decent picture quality (the HD hype is more hype than true quality, but better than most baby monitors). And despite saying the camera should be 6 feet from the baby, we have ours at about 10 feet and can barely hear a thing other than background noise. Sure, the argument could be made it's used outside of recommendations, but our other baby monitor was even further away and it was extremely sensitive and plenty loud. I would argue audio is more important than audio in most cases so I think it leaves much to be desired. Speaker is also on the BACK of the monitoring unit which doesn't help. Other than the audio issue I had no real complaints. We're actually going to return this model anyway for the split screen model since this model can't have two monitors displayed at the same time and that's important to us. Hopefully the audio is better on that model.We love our BabySense monitor! We had a WiFi one initially, but wanted a more private option on a closed system. After doing a bit of research, we chose this monitor and it's been fantastic! The only hiccup we had was when the battery started losing its ability to hold a charge, but we contacted customer service and they replaced it for free with minimal hassle on our end. This is a company that still cares about its customers and we will recommend them to everyone with a baby and/or toddler. Buy with confidence!I use as cameas INSIDE pointing at my door and my driveway outside along with a driveway alarm and shows me who is at the door. Also is handy showing UPS or Fed Ex throwing packages . Bad boys!I have now had 3 of these monitors, all 3 sets have done the same things. First set I bought right after I had my son, both cameras stopped working within a couple months. They sent me new ones, the night bison never worked on those ones. Now I’m on the third set and once again, they are awful. They randomly disconnect from the camera (never fails that it’s in the middle of the night and it starts beeping super loud.) They DO NOT hold a charge at all! It can be on the charger for hours and less than 10 minutes after they are taken off, it starts beeping that the battery is low. The night vision is horrible, green and blurry! You can forget about pair both the cameras it comes with cause they will not stay paired! It’s a constant battle having to repair it at 8 pm when they unpaired randomly during the day! The two way talk does not work. You can not understand what anyone says through it. Save your money and a headache and get something else.Can I just say, I’m in love with this set up! I had to replace our old video unit after only 1 year so I bought this one after reading through many, many reviews and products. I’ve been using it for the last month and everything about it just feels like an upgrade from the old one.1. The HD screen is crystal clear! There is no lag when switching between cameras either; which was a huge con I had with the old one.2. The sound is nice. There are about 5-6 levels of volume. Sometimes it’s easier to hear one camera than the other, but that could be the camera placement.3. Assembly was easy as pie. The instruction manual is very clearly written and gives step by step instructions. But really, just turn it on and the 2 cameras are already synced. I didn’t have to do anything but install the cameras where I wanted. That was also easy for me. There was already a hole in the wall from my old camera in the nursery so I actually nailed the new holster in the same spot instead of using the screws provided. Same end result; just used a different method. It’s not in a spot that the baby can grab and pull it off the wall, so I’m comfortable with the installation. The 2nd camera is sitting on my daughter’s nightstand. She’s 5 and doesn’t touch it.4. As you can see from the pictures, night vision is clear also. The nursery camera is about 4 feet away from the baby and my other daughter’s is only about 2 feet away. Both are easy to see.5. I love the zoom and maneuverability! My old set up didn’t have either so this was just awesome to play with! I believe the turn radius is 150-160 degrees left to right and about 70 degrees top to bottom. I can see the entirety of both rooms if I need to. If baby goes to the other end of the crib, out of screen, I can move the camera down with the push of a button and there she is! I don’t use the zoom often but it comes in handy when needed.6. Battery life- I’m pleasantly surprised how well it lasts. I haven’t had to keep it on longer than maybe 4 hours, but it’s on standby mode usually so by the time I have to turn it off again, it still has 2 out of 3 bars of battery left. I do keep it plugged in overnight as the manual suggests.Really, I haven’t found any cons about this set yet and honestly, I don’t think I will. I’m very happy I purchased it and would happily do so again if, by some chance, my kids get ahold of it and tear it to pieces!The picture quality on this monitor is great. The camera rotates and zooms beautifully as needed. I had this set for just shy of a year when suddenly I started to hear static in my monitor. I spoke with Richard in customer service (who, based on the babysense VM, May actually be the entire CS team for North America). He reached out to me very quickly, helped me trouble shoot my problems, and when a fix couldn’t be reached he sent me a replacement free of charge. Richard, in addition to the nice quality of the monitor itself, is an excellent reason to choose this product.My only major complainant is that with the video and sound on, the monitors battery lasts only a few hours without needing to be recharged.The model I received was missing a bolt for the mounting bracket. Richard Anderson was the guy i talked to with customer service. He returns my call quickly and sent out a replacement part quickly. This was the only issue with the package. The camera and monitor work great!
