The family really enjoyed the night camp fire with this fire pit. This thing has been great for camping on Long Island where you can't have ground fires and there are no provided fire rings. It's sturdy enough for at least 6 logs and kindling has the added benefit of heat all over for your legs and feet. I strongly recommend.Bought this on a whim because I wanted something portable to set up and use in the yard that wouldn’t leave a scorch mark in the grass and that I could set up and easily remove. This fit the bill perfectly, but I had a lot of doubts when I clicked Buy Now. When it arrived I set it up in the living room and was surprised at how big it was (I ordered the larger one). Put two gallons of milk on it and it barely flexed, so the rating of up to 25 points seems alright. I still had plenty of doubts because the stainless fabric seemed extremely flimsy and the clips holding the fabric to the sticks didn’t seem very sturdy at all. Still it held the weight I put on it, so I put my doubts aside until it got dark.Assembled it in the yard and piled some kindling on it, blazed right up (I decided to use some camping gear, ferro rod, I made a feather stick real fast, sparked it up and then just fed some thin sheets of wood just to get a quick fire going). There’s no issues at all with air circulation since it’s completely open. I doubt I put more than 5 pounds of wood on it because I just wanted to give it a quick test. Blazed up, went to coals, blazed it up again, nothing fell through the mesh at all. Naturally when the wind kicked up some embers blew around since there’s no side, but I’m still totally impressed. For the cost, the east of set up and tear down, it’s pretty awesome. So I sat outside until it died down, put the fire out with some water (the ashes didn’t go through the mesh at all) and was very surprised that the fabric wasn’t even hot (I deliberately stuck my hand right into the middle). A quick wipe of the mesh and it was clean, a little discolored from the heat, but regardless this little piece of kit would be amazing for camping, hiking, etc. I’m still just going to use it for a backyard fire but I may loan it to my neighbor that came over when he saw the fire. He was jealous.Unbelievable how nothing drops through the mesh. I do charcoal fires and fire logs, pour gas all over it to start fires quick :)Only word of caution, is don't refold up the wire mesh after use. Definitely break down the spokes and put into the bag, but keep the wire mesh flat and don't refold it up into the bag after use. It will tear, I have a replacement on the way, and in meantime using a grate over the top so big pieces can't fall through. They should include this in the use recommendations, it really is not a big deal to keep that part separate and out of the bag. That aside, this things absolutely rocks! Get a cooking tripod and do some cast iron delicious meals over this thing, followed by a toasty fire.I’ve only used it once, but it worked flawlessly. Pouring rain in AZ rendered my fire pit useless and I set this up under a tarp with my chair and a small table. Held a couple of logs fine and enabled me to get a fire going. Niceand compact. I use if for motorcycle camping. This was great to use for a fire on the beach. Easy to set up and worked great! Helped keep all the debris together for an easy clean-up. There were no holes in the “netting” after use and washed up well for future use. Returned to the case with no problem for storage.great idea for a fire pit!! Quite a big fire can be built on the screengreat invention!!It's supper cool how it comes together and works like a dream. One thing I will mention is the fire burns so hot small white ash falls down and covers whatever is down there. It's not hot but if the wind is blowing or you have your feet under the pit just know that you'll have white ash covering you. Clean up and take down is quick and simple. For the price I think it's a great buy just to have
