For its purpose, this monitor arm is great, But you need to understand this isn't a pull out of the box and stick it to the desk and that's it, If you don't understand what an alan key is and how it works then there is little point in buying this, but if you do understand the simple laws of physics and how heavy items on simple joints can affect them then good, you are in the right place!First of all I tested this for 2 days on my small Ben Q 19" monitor, it performed great, no drooping, easy movement of the joints, simple.secondly on a 22" acer LED monitor, again, simple, No drooping.Thirdly a 23" Packard bell monitor, which is incredibly heavy for its unusual size, great, no drooping. And lastly, I thought, what the heck might as well try the little TV in the Conservatory, so I grabbed my small 27" Samsung TV and hooked it up, and its great, not a single sign of drooping, even for a fairly heavy 27" which exceeds the "recommended" weight on this stand, It survived no problem after a long weekend of gaming. The only problems I had with this was my own, as my main computer desk is a 1.5cm thick glass desk, If you are someone who owns a glass desk DON'T SHY AWAY FROM THE CLAMPS! I hear people whining time after time about how the surface tension will be double and it'll crack the glass yada yada, I happen to know an awful lot about various different glass panes and can tell you that I have tried this mount on my fairly thick kited desk panel, and on a small Argos desk with about 1cm thick frosted glass (I like glass desks) which still works, I did however have to pad the weight of the monitor over some large wooden chocks to make the weight on a single point spread out better like a polar bear on thin ice, However, the results are still the same as a 2inch thick wooden desk.Overall, the only issues I have are the caps covering the screw holes, I personally don't see the point as frankly if its up against a wall or behind your monitor, You are never going to see it. And that the stand base for me is too thin and would crack the glass if the weight wasn't spread out as such. But this is the standard for most mounts so can't complainIf you are puzzling over whether to buy a stand or a clamp style monitor mount, buy the clamp style, you save so much more space, and have a lot more flexibility, yes the joints on this model are fairly stiff but undoing the right Alan screws in the right places makes it incredibly flexible!, just beware you might pull out a cable or two if its a short cable! Stands are just A) Too big B) too stiff and C) too ugly.Clamps and arms are convenient, small and save a heck of a desk space! Also if you are someone who uses a laptop as well check out this:Same design as this arm but with a laptop tray! so convenient and so so so sturdy and built to last!Don't look for the expensive stuff as its virtually identical!
