I had my last Smokey Joe for 10 years. I barbque several times a week even in the winter. I leave it outside all year, and can quickly throw it in a box to take it camping. I love the portability and I will always prefer the taste of charcoal grilled food over gas grilled so this little grill is a game changer. Super easy to assemble and it arrived quickly. Great size when grilling for small groups or a single person.I was looking for a small charcoal grill for my adult daughter and I. I had gotten rid of my gas grill to prepare for an eventual move. Plus, I was tired of finding mice nests inside! Yuck! This lil grill is perfect! Very easy to assemble. Took me maybe 10 minutes. I bought a Weber chimney to go along with it. That makes it a cinch to get started! It is heavy duty for a small grill. Definitely portable, though I haven't taken it anywhere yet. So far we have only cooked burgers & dogs on it, but everything came out perfectly. I very highly recommend this grill if you are looking for something small and/or something portable. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again should I need to. Perfect for my daughter and I and nothing beats charcoal for grilling!Have used one all my life how about showing some love. Don’t really have space for the big one and this is my first charcoal grill ever. So far it’s great. Easy to assemble, it’s stable, grill sits nicely, and nice price point for a newbie. Bought the easy light charcoal because I didn’t want the hassle of fanning the flame and it works great.Used it for a second time yesterday, and this time made some veggie kebabs.*had to reach out to there customer service dept and they were great. Quick, friendly and helped with the minor problem.Had a larger grill that needed too many briquettes to even warm meat. Waste of money. This little grill made me the queen of the grill once again. Perfect for the two of us and so happy I'm not a fail griller after all!thank youThis has come in handy for a quick meal and it's for a few people.Necesitaba algo pequeño pues vivo en un departamento en la ciudad de México y no pude haber elegido mejor, no ocupa gran espacio y el carbón se aprovecha muchísimo, la parrilla tiene el espacio suficiente para hacer comida para unas 4 o 5 personas, lo único que me parece increíble es que no tenga un par de asas a los costados para moverlo y que tampoco tenga alguna forma de descansar la tapa a un costado.This is a well made mini bbq. Have taken it camping and it works great. The only reason I can’t give it a five star review is because for the exact same price I could I could have gotten the Napoleon version of this bbq from Home Depot. They look almost identical but the Napoleon has thicker gauge steel, much heavier duty legs and most importantly a lid that locks on for when you’re transporting it. So this is a good little charcoal bbq but for the same money I would strongly advise you to go look at the Napoleon version first.Pross: Simple and minimal, a whole chicken (on the smaller size) can fit in it (I had to push down the lid a bit though); covering the base and cover with aluminum foil saves you from having to clean it after each grill (e.g. fat build up on the lid, and I would imagine if you don't clean it, it will affect taste of subsequent grills). The grill surface would fit ~10 skewers (each of length ~10cm); or ~7 skewers under indirect heat (i.e. you're restricting placement of skewers to the middle of the grill, while charcoals are placed to the sides). Assembling it was very easy.Cons: hard to open/close the lower vent disc; they could have made its handle a bit longer to make the opening/closing motion more smooth. The lower grate should be more connected around the circumference in order to avoid wood chips (being dripped down to smoke the meat) from falling all the way down to the bottom of the grill and sometimes blocking the wind (venting) holes.We are extremely happy with this grill. Perfect for a small backyard or portable grill that makes very tasty meals. I found that you need about two chimneys worth of hot coals for it to work well, otherwise your coals will go out within about 30 minutes. The only challenge is keeping the lower ports free of ashes, but a quick couple of pokes with a screwdriver seems to work well. Very well made, excellent instructions and very minimal plastic packaging (most of it was cardboard). Now I want a full size one as well!Love it its the perfect size for a family picnic or just quick bbq
