Look, I spent 2.5 grand on the laptop I trust this thing to keep from falling and breaking. The thing works as described with few frills but I spent way too much money on my laptop and the 5k monitor next to it so tbh thank god vivo made a product that just does what I need it to do. Sorry ergotron, i'm not spending 300 bucks just to move my laptop a foot off my desk and you really dont need an expensive one from herman miller either. Just get this thing, it's a solid product that works and isn't cheaply built. I'm fairly short and have the attachment near the bottom of the pole mount. If you're taller, there's a lot of room for this thing to move up.
