I have a bedroom with two exterior walls in a creaky farmhouse. It gets colder than the rest of the house, even when I have a fan at a low setting drawing air from the main part of the house into the room. On the coldest nights, I've set up this heater a little before I go to bed. The room is quite small. On the lower power setting but turned up to high heat, if I leave the heater on for a couple hours with the door closed, the room is much too warm, and if I need to heat it up faster, I use the higher power setting and that works too. (I need to learn how to use the thermostat on the heater better in order to get the room just warm enough.)The heater's reasonably quiet, and the auto-shut-off for tipping over works well. I usually put it up on something (e.g. a low stool) to keep it well away from any obstructions that might overheat. It doesn't glow red while it's working. I think that if I wanted to leave it on all night, I'd feel pretty safe as long as nothing was near it or blocking it, and pretty comfortable. I don't think the noise or anything else would make it hard to sleep.I would have preferred a fan that could be adjusted as to angle and tilt, but really, there's no need when this one does a good job at heating the area around it. I feel like really, oscillation is good for a heater you don't fully trust to heat up the room, but when I want a space heater, I want a heater that will actually heat up the space it's in, not just blow hot air at me. This heater does that. It was good value for money, and if it eventually dies, I may well buy another.
